Sunrise through heavy fog

G'day all

Camped alongside a riverbank and woke to a heavy fog this morning - boots on, jumper on, and out with camera and monopod. Returning to the motorhome I saw that the sun had just risen - the colours were changing as well, and managed these two shots

Would you care to offer an opinion as to which you prefer ...

You make it hard to choose Phil. Very similar and both have good points.
#1, I prefer the smoother gradient surrounding the sun and the framing.
#2, I like the position of the sun, providing a nice silhouette for the tree.
