  • A few waterfalls

Some of the waterfalls from yesterdays walk at Springbrook. Photography was a bit of a challenge at first, as the day started out sunny, and I prefer overcast conditions in the forest. I wouldn't have got a rainbow if it was overcast though.

We have had a bit of rain lately so the creeks were flowing well.

Thanks Phil, it's a pretty special area.

Wonderful scenes Alan. Great POV on all of them and all well framed to show them at their best. Good that you included a few folk to give it some scale. If that were in my backyard, I'd be there a lot.

Thanks Isac. Yes, I have been there quite a lot over the years, although not so much in the last few.

I can relate to that Alan. We have a water fall about 5km from us but I haven't been there since 2016! Maybe I should take the plunge and revisit. It is probably in full flow right now, we've had some really good rains in the last couple of days. This is what it was like back then:

Looks Good Isac. The trick with waterfalls is getting them in the right light. Overcast days in the rainforest can give great results. We have many of them within an hour and a half drive, plus a long walk in some cases.

Cheers and thanks for that Alan. The light on that day was pretty harsh and was casting a shadow over the water so not ideal. I think for this one it will be a late afternoon and hopefully overcast. I'll probably just go up there and sit and wait for light to be right.
Working...
