Unfortunately our large lake is starting to dry up, but the birds and ducks are still hanging around for the tucker.

These are the Laeliae Gums that you'll only ever see here in a small group in the Darling Range area, here in the South West of W.A.

That looks like a significant drop in water level Isac. Is this typical for the time of year and does it dry completely.

It's just a natural lake so it's at the mercy of the rain gods. This is how it ends up when there's no rain for months. The last rains were last November and was more than double the November average across for Perth and most suburbs had their wettest November on record. The monthly rainfall of in November was also the highest November rainfall since the start of records dating back to 1867. It bucketed down for 4 consecutive days at the end of June which was its second highest June daily rainfall on record and the highest daily rainfall of 2020 in Perth.
