The Eagles Nest

I took a drive down along the est coast today hoping to get some nice images of the Eagles Nest. The tide was way out so getting up close was not a problem.

#1 I think that the sky is the hero in this shot.


#2 A bit closer.

Definately keep that sky handy to liven up a dull one at some time. Strange how a piece of rock can stand out like that. Often they are volcanic plugs but from here it looks like conglomorate.

Thanks Hans, there are many interesting patterns and formations in the rocks around the area. This one took my interest, looks like a cross between a maze and the human brain.

Great to see a new member join us! Welcome friend. #1 sky is a keeper for sure and you've got great detail in #2. Those colours really compliment each other. #3 is really unusual and I get your reference to the brain-maze similarities (a bit like mine too) HaHa!

The plan of somethings home. I suspect ancient coral. Interesting. We cut a small trip as well recently. Hope to see lots more soon though. Cheers Hans

Some things just do not seem to 'cut the mustard' as the old saying goes ...... and I have plenty (far too many) images that once back home and onto the computer screen, then get 'the big flick'

Still - I would keep them (as Hans suggests) for the sky ~ and the 'brain' is one of many wonderful shapes from nature
