Better a full bottle in front of me

A few KM away the Turon river. As taken, no adjustments at all including sharpening reduced in size to 1024pixels and 50% to keep it under 250mb

      G'day Hans

A beaut group of pics showing some of our "good ol' days" ~ and the peacefulness of a river bank
cc- playing with the scroll bar in #2, to my eyes if I zap 2cm or so off the bottom (up to the rocks) then the people & top of the frame holds more visual interest. Thoughts??

It would make it more panoramic looking as well. I wanted to have "Split Rock" in the frame as well. Not a lot of interest though. Family album stuff.

I agree with a pano version but torn between adding to the left or cropping. Sometimes it's always good to grab the 2nd or 3rd shots to always have a pano in mind when taking landscape shots. I do it regularly with some good results. I use portrait for multi shot panos. I even do panos on trees!

Wow that first one is fabulous. These are wonderful shots Hans. Lucky man to be in that part of Oz. As I looked at #1, I thought that if the road was just raw gravel looking earth, it could have been a town in an old classic western movie. I'll definitely have a play and see what I can come up with if you don't mind

Go for it. Do you want more data? Did you see my effort of Saigon?

Here's the makeover, just a bit of fun. Added some extra things to make it more authentic. Physically drained today (pulling out rose bushes) so good to have some play time.

      #1 - Now it's in a Western Movie.

#3 - This is what I meant by adding to the image to make a pano.

Thanks Phil. It needs a visit from a nephew to get us playing tourist in our back yard. He did enjoy it and enjoyed the picture I took of him with me reflected in the window. I will add it here as part of the story.

That's an old petrol bowser in the foreground.

Another way to make a pano is to copy the BG and add canvas to the left side of the image (about 25%). Then copy to a new layer about 1/3rd of the left part of the image and stretch it to the left border. That way you don't lose any of the image.

When you are cloning, it's always good to eliminate duplicates. If you get duplicates, just sample from elsewhere and go over the duplicated section. I can see you are getting the hang of it! Other than the obvious duplicates (trees near the centre), you've done really well - Nice job.
