That's a fabulous shot Hans. Unusual but very appealing!

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Thanks Isac. I think you would enjoy going through these old albums saying we can do a better job on that one. Particularly pleased with how natural it looks.

It's a classic! Now use the Lum-Mask Darks(3) with a curves layer and lift the shadows. Just grab the diagonal line at the right of the Black Mountain and drag up.

I would probably love to have a look at your old albums Hans. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and when I see an image that to me could do with some changes bu making it different, that's just me. Whether that's making it better or not is open for debate. Because I've been editing for what seems like an eternity, it just gets me asking the question "can I make it look different?". Whether that's "better" is up to individual opinions. Mostly for me it's a yes. Digital cameras interpret things differently to our eyes and we can can see a lot more than a camera ever will, especially the dynamic range. Just for one example, we can see a lot more inn shadows, so that's why I usually give ALL my images a shadows lift to some degree. It's a fascinating subject.
