Yes nice images Hans. Look after your back, it's the only one you have. I knew it was "Elsewhere", because on the TV weather reports it's always "FINE" elsewhere
Give the first one a shadows lift - it really looks good. Do you use Faststone for previewing your images?
Bloody sure I answered you yesterday Isac Yes still using Faststone a lot of the time mainly because of the PS shortcut "E" I also did lighten the shadows a little but as it was early morning and a high contrast against the light image. Dark shadows seem to be in order here. Happy to hear more oppinions.
You got a lot going for you Phil. You are alive and in Australia. I was watching the news on CNN today and they were talking to pollies. They still don't get it . They still blame outsiders for their internal problems The racist behaviour is now being put down to Russian interferance during the elections. It is also a beautiful country shame about some of the people. Shame we have some here that want us to be like them. Make sure you show us you haven't forgotten how to when you are about! Cheers mate We're OK!
I think the first image is better than the one above. To me the first one just needs to drop the highlights and increase the shadows. That way you keep the lovely contrasts.
From PS, use the Camera Raw Filter (on a layer copy) and try these adjustments under the "Basic" adjustments.
Thanks for the slider tip. I keep forgetting the go back to ACR command I will have to put it on the keyboard shortcut guide. Started from scratch on one I was working on a couple of days ago.
Better a full bottle in front of me
than a full frontal lobotomy.
Hans
I use the ACR filter from PS quite often Hans. Another tip: On the copy you take back to ACR, first turn it into a Smart Object. That way, the layer keeps the ACR adjustments, so you can Double-Click on the "Camera Raw Filter" label in the layers panel and it will open back in ACR with the settings intact.
