I can't help it Phil - I must chastise you fro the water flowing downhill and the elliptical shaped sun. Oh, sorry - it was 2004. I used to have a few back then too. Obviously taken from your yacht, so it was probably rolling about a bit
Yeah matey ~ I was so dolled up with the bikini brigade on the multi-million dollar yacht that I almost missed the sunset ... !
as to horizon, agreed but image too old to bother with - otherwise sun's shape is atmospheric distortions ??
Phil
This is a great shot Phil (pardon the pun). I can't see any reason for shooting such an iconic bird. Maybe it was a person who doesn't follow the "Eagles". We even get crazies shooting our Black Cockatoos.
Just wanted to say a collective "thank you" to all here for your feedback to the images posted over the past couple of weeks. It is obviously another momentary diversion from an otherwise quiet day around the house!
Our small site shows just over 100 views, one of the US sites shows over 800 hits and the UK site shows over 1000 hits ~ all a bit surprising to me
#25, 26, 27, from a 2009 series showing the great versatility of the fixed-lens superzoom (also called Bridge) cameras

b) Crocodiles basking in the sun, Ord River, Western Australia

c) A typical outback Aussie Road-Train ... 53metres / 170ft long
Great shots Phil. I've seen all those things above - so thanks for the memories. My BIL was the Shell depot boss in Meekatharra for years and won so many prizes for selling the most fuel and oil per month. He supplied the mining companies and they used it like it was water. He won trips to Hawaii, cash, gold bars etc. Lucky guy but it long hours, hot and dusty yakka.
