Three similar views of the same subject

G'day all

The town has been blanketed in smoke haze for the last couple of days, but it cleared a bit overnight ~ so I ventured out at sunrise for a wander around the harbour
Here's a couple ....
typical exif ... Panny FZ-200; 1/1600s x F7,1; ISO-100; lens between 40 & 70 FF equiv

1) full sun present in frame


2) just the glow of the sun ~ bit more zoom


3) different framing


Preferences? any thoughts?

I like #1, #2 and #3!!. (in that order). All good variation of your subject. Lovely silhouette of the boat and all the surrounds are a complimentary extra, making the images very appealing.

I posted these to another photo site - and their comment was "the highlights are blown out" ~~ I ask you ... shooting the sun in the image and they want details in the highlights no doubt as they want details in the boat at the same time -- Grrrrrrr

ps- for me - it's #3 that might be the keeper

Yeah, some of the members on the other photo site are pretty keen. If you get the opportunity again, have a go at bracketing 3 shots and blending them together. It seems to work well.
