  • Pre-dawn at Bombo

I already shared some sunrise images. These ones are pre-dawn and to be honest I wasn't a fan initially. But hey they're different and provide a whole new colour scheme to the basalt.

#2 - A HDR merge that I'm not at all sold about.

Really tells us the story of you getting up early for this Todd. I think a luminosity mask with some curves adjustments would give you more to play with rather than an HDR. Photo is wonderful but not the time of day for me

Thanks Greg. Still no photoshop for me so something I'll have to look at in the future.

I also like the movement of the ocean. I have memories of photographing my Honda 4 in the quarry in the late 6ties. Lived in Kiama for a while.

Thanks Hans. Funnily enough on the saturday morning there was actually a film crew in there doing something. No idea what but they were gone by sunday.

That's a good job using the filters Todd. The sky looks good too.

A lovely location with all the at texture, water and bonus use of the sun.
CC - A slight straighten perhaps?

What if there were no Hypothetical questions?
CC always welcomed, feel free to post your ideas with an edit if you have time - Thanks.

The horizon is actually dead straight Gaz. I know because I kept looking at it and thinking it wasn't. So have checked it multiple times. It;s really deceptive in this image for some reason.
