      Bit of a lad in his time. Not sure why the horse only has one leg up. I thought if you died in battle your horse had two feet off the ground.

      I didn't know that Hans - now I do. Maybe the statue was created while the subjects were still alive, hence the one leg off the ground - the other might have gotten tired. Maybe they trained the horses to rise up and dump the body off their backs so that when they take off back to a safer place it would make it easier, rather than carrying a dead weight
