This is getting a bit pedantic.

I like the PP of your image Hans, you'll have to let us know how you did that - It would make for a great action!
I'm not sure why you prefer the upload method you are using, but that's your choice. The easiest way is to use the attachment method HERE.
We can change the settings for uploading images within the Admin section. If you let me know the sizes you would like as well as the weight in KB I'll see what can be done. Don't make it too large because the bandwidth is limited, as we share our site with others on the server (which is a huge cost saving method for hosting).
The error you see is a general pop up when EITHER the width/height is over 1024px OR the weight in KB is too large. Best keep images to 1024 (longest side) and around 250kb. How do you resize your images?

When uploaded images are too large, we use a method that tries to resize to the specifications which are set for Ausph. If that can't be achieved for some unknown reason, the upload will fail and you get the message pop up.

I use photoshop to convert the raw file to jpg and save a full size copy I then save a copy for the web in a subfolder for here and facebook or whatever. This appears to work 99% of the time.
As far as method only did it an hour or so ago I'll see if I can remember. Made new layer selected the car and sharpened as far as. Then selected the inverse used the photo copy filter. Played with setting then altered the opacity of the layer to get the colour back in.

Thanks Hans. Do you use "save for web" in PS. If so you just type in 1024 on the longest side and then reduce the quality to just under 250KB.
I like the workflow for the image, I'll have to have a play.

OK will reduce the quality a tiny bit more.
