This was on a road less travelled.
Better a full bottle in front of me
    than a full frontal lobotomy.

Typical Bali landscape Hans. Good foreground interest and plenty to see right through the image.

What about the beach scene? My first thought was to warm it up but then decided to leave it as it was. Very typical of the weather at this time of the year. Thoughts?

I like the photo Hans. Great pastel colours and sharp subdued detail. How would you have warmed it up? You could always use a free action to turn it into a sunset

I was thinking of just changing the overall colour temperature when converting from RAW. I do like the pastels but may have a play at a later stage.

In CS6, have a play with the 3DLUT filters, they're amazing! At the bottom of the layers pallet, click "Create new fill or adjustment layer" and select "Color Lookup...". Cycle through the 3DLUT files and see if there's something you like.

How about this one? Rocks have been given extra exposure via a layer application.

Nice to see the detail in the rocks Hans. Needs the halo removed between the sky and the hill where the people are sitting and the flag pole. Easy by using a soft clone tool with mode set to "Darken". Sample from just above in the sky and run along the halo and it will disappear!

Its so amazing how they have use the tearing (sorry if that word is wrong), but to use that to get full use of their land.
    They are smart farmers.
I like the last shot as well quite a lot.

Thanks Arthur. They call them terraces in Bali. I noticed a few damaged ones which created a bit of a landslide and must be hard to fix. They crop rice twice then have to plant a different crop.

Thank you for your information on the name of them being terraces.
I would think that the crop rotation is a must to give back to the land. Not that I know much about it but I do know its a must.
It must hurt them if the get a broken wall on one of them. But I am sure they would not panic as they have been at it for so long.
So they would know just what to do to get it mended.
Looks to be a nice looking area.

This the sort of thing you had in mind Isac? I would mask off the lower part if I thought it worth going on with. Don't think I was successfull with the Color Lookup Must be missing something there.

Not quite what I had in mind Hans. You seem to have a lot of adjustment layers to get the effect. You could probably get a similar look with a sepia layer.
You could also give the clouds a bit of drama by using the Burn Tool (Shadows) with a soft brush at 25%.
Here's what the 3DLUT (LateSunset.3DL) looks like without any masking or additional fill or adjustment layers.

Does a nice job on the clouds.I will have another look I am obviously missing something.

Just cycle through the 3DLUT choices and pick one. Treat it as any other layer. You can edit it any way you want. You can also add other layer adjustments for various effects.
There's a few in "Abstracts" as well.
