#3 Toorongo River. I know that some people don't like the milky water effect and I think I overdid it a bit in this shot. 13 second exposure.

All lovely works John. I do love working with NIK. So many variations available by playing with the adjustment sliders. Like you have said, not all are fans of the milky water shots. I'm on the fence with it. Some look really unnatural but present in an artistic way and some look really cool. It's not often I do long exposure shots but when I do, I like to take one at normal speed and then one at about 1 second - and then do a blend using a layer mask to get the effect I want. That gives me the advantage of having nice sharp surroundings and the ability to leave some detail in the water.
This is what I mean. 1/80th of a second and 1/3rd of a second. That's just my way but it works for me.

Thanks for your comments Isac, and thanks for the hint about taking 2 shots.

Like the jetty shot. The milky water is like the milky way a cliche. While it may look ok it feels like you have seen it done by someone else. PS I may not be about for a bit to see reply.

Lucky Bugger. My wife makes me go on cruises, she just booked a lap of uNZud for January sailing with NCL.

We did that a year and a half ago. We are finishing up with a cruise from Seattle to Santiago this trip. Have a couple more in the pipeline. She tells me it is just so I can take photos.
