I can see why this caught your eye, even though you are a sucker. (You said it!)
I reckon it would be good with a darker background, and it needs a chook of some sort sitting somewhere. Would act as a bit of a focal point, a sign of life. I mean, the trees are dead.Charles
My indecision is final, I think.

Really cool photo Mick. I'm like you and love a dead tree shot - (got 100's). I like the reflection also.I Shoot A Canon

Who needs a Flood Filter when you have the real thing - lucky you. Good job
I think Charles has a point about a darker background or maybe just more contrast - but we weren't there to experience the moment so... ( I might have a play with it if you don't mind..)

It's been so long since I've processed any new images, I'm terribly rusty.-----------------------------------------------------

Hi Mick my only suggestion would be to focus more on the foreground and get more of the reflection of those trees. Darkening the background would bring the foreground to the fore (*cough cough) and add to this.

Excellent points Todd. I ran out of foreground here as there is a sandbar in the way and this has been cropped to evict that. I agree it would be a much stronger image if it included more reflection.
I kinda like this image but it's no wall hanger. I'm a bit rusty behind the camera as well as with processing The excellent critique received thus far is helping enormously.
