Awesome shot Ross. I love all the water action and the darker sky seems to highlight it more - you've captured it well.I Shoot A Canon

G'day Ross
Nice scene captured here but the colours look a little flat to me, not much, but there's room to move here I reckon to give the image some more punch.
Have you done any processing on this?-----------------------------------------------------

Timing looks good. Captured the wave well. Apart from the wave the rest of the image, in particular foreground, looks under exposed. Little bit of processing should fix that.

Hi Ross.. great subject matter and your composition is spot on.
I think I remember you saying you had Lightroom. The image suffers a little from blown highlights (the wave) and flat surrounds as others have mentioned (foreground and sky). In Lightroom there are adjustments for highlights and shadows, clarity, vibrance and sharpening. I suggest you put the image in and have a play with these sliders, you'll be amazed at how much extra detail you can extract. from that wave.

Here's another way to give it a lift just using Photoshop.
1. Duplicate the Background Layer 2. On Layer 1, set the Blend Mode to "Multiply". Adjust the Opacity to suit.
