Simple textures and desert colours. Only way I could suggest to improve this would be change the time of day so the ripples in the sand start to shadow. They get a little lost in the centre of the image.

Colours are amazing Mick. I'd clone out the little white thing on the right hand edge. Long way to go for another shotI Shoot A Canon

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Cheers Lloyd. I find myself doing a lot of this macro landscape style. For me it evokes a completely different emotional feel than a wide vista image.
Some of my friends expressed disappointment at the lack of a documentary style of images from the desert but I found myself more often than not walking slowly with my eyes looking down at my feet. Trying to capture a mood or feel rather than a postcard. I love slow bushwalking, probably just an extension of bird photography really.-----------------------------------------------------

Nice to have the gang back together!! It's like I'm feeling the effects of a "Phoenix" moment. It'd be great to have her back as well!I Shoot A Canon
