    #5 There are a few pictures that were taken because of the blue appearance of the glacial ice. We were told it was because the snow had been compressed to such a point that no trapped air remained

      Fabulous photos Hans. The "Little House on the Prairie Ice" really gives you a good sense of scale.

          Thank you Gentlemen. As far as visiting it is nice to do it on a cruise ship so you can go and warm up after an hour on deck even on a nice summer day. Made me think about the poor buggers that did this on the sailing ships with ice in the rigging.
          Better a full bottle in front of me
          than a full frontal lobotomy.
