  • Dolphin pod off Tuncurry nsw main beach

    G'day all

The dolphins and whales are in evidence along the coastal belt these days - but while the whales are off shore, the dolphins come in close to the wave-break area to chase a feed

    As always, comments welcome

A pleasure to see them. Thanks for sharing.

Ditto to what HansE said and that water looks nice and clean.

Special moments Phil, would have been nice to get a shot of them in the wave.

          Thanks fellas

After posting this note the other day, I was talking to another Forster / Tuncurry local who amazed me by telling that 3 whales had actually swum into Wallis Lake one day last week, spent a few hours investigating the yacht marina etc. before returning to the ocean on the outgoing tide. The last time this occurred was 10 years ago

There was nothing on local radio of TV when it was happening, so I missed it [bugga] but apparently it was well documented "by about 1000 phone cameras" clicking away while it was happening
