I took a lot of images of these 'desert clocks' as I like to call them.
These are all from the Simpson Desert and to me they seemed to represent the timeless nature of the inland desert landscape.
Fragile and delicate, and obviously they don't last forever but I felt compelled to capture them for some strange reason.
Perhaps they are just meaningless dawdles in a landscape that appears both ever changing and yet constant. Or perhaps I just spent too much time alone out there.
Either way, I made sure I never trod on one in the same way a some people avoid stepping on a crack in the pavement, so maybe the latter
