Lovely old tree Hans. Slightly different perspective may have balanced the image better.. Perhaps taken from a little further on the right to give the road some angle into the frame would look better.

However you found an interesting subject with a couple of huge Burls!

I agree with Alan and Seaslug. Good colour and texture in the tree and the clouds give it a lift.

I did notice the lean and finished up rotating cw. It is funny how I did't notice it during editing as it is the first thing that I normally notice and do. I was taking pictures in the other direction and this was like an aside.
