Recent quick visit retracing some time in UK in the sixties.

I like the painterly feel to this very much.

I think the composition and balance work really well with that big sky hanging ominously over a small village and even smaller people.

Love the way you have seen all the up-rights in the scene and probably waited for the passing boat to add the final touch

The muted colours suit the mood.

A photo it's a pleasure to spend time exploring

    Cheers
    Alan

Lighthouse, church, kombie van (or is it a bus), dog and a bird .... the list goes on.
Agree with Alan, very nice image indeed

Thank you for your kind words. What caused me to pull up was the mist of the sea spray the other elements were seen when I started composing the picture. The light house is actually not on that piece of headland. I just had a look on google earth https://www.google.com.au/maps/@55.0.../data=!3m1!1e3 The bigger building is a pub. I think the van is an emergency or council vehicle. It looks better in its full resolution.

After reading comments above, I can't think of anything else to to say, other than it gets the "Isac Images Wall Hanger Award for September 2016".

It is the things that look a bit out of the ordinairy that draw your attention. It is a real pleasure when you manage to capture that. I also appreciate the award It's nice to know other people also like the result.

Very nice and makes me feel like it was quite cold when that shot was taken.

No this was recently taken mid summer but the light was quite low as it was overcast. I have a picture taken a km or so before this spot will add it.

Equally as good as the first one Hans. It has a certain magic feel to this. A great photo.

I like the composition of this but like the first one here better as a photo. The light sure is different there being Northern England.
