Nice Mick. Very grassy considering I believe it was a dry wet season up north this year.

Nicely captured. All Iron ore I suppose
Planning to head that way in 2017. Have got the camper and the 4 wheel drive. Now need to convince the management that it will be 4 star camping.Better a full bottle in front of me
than a full frontal lobotomy.

I may be back there next week and will be curious to see how green it is. I've been approached by a friend of mine who has a friend who is legally blind. She wants to see the Bungles while she still can and I've been tasked to take her there and show her around. When I raised the issue of the comfort level in my ancient Hilux he said, " Oh,no, leave the Lux at home and take my Prado!"
So I'm mad keen to do this trip on many levels. It will be an honour and privilege. to help this lady. When I asked about the level of assistance Margaret will require my friend simply stated that I will be amazed and impressed with what she can do and what she has achieved thus far in her life. Can't wait to meet her! The trip is not locked in yet but I'm preparing as though it is.

I reckon you need about three days to have a good look around at a minimum.

That sounds like it should be a cracker of a trip Mick. Not only what you will see and do or the comfort of the Prado, but being able to experience the joy of someone seeing these areas for themselves. That part always gets me excited.

Cheers Alan...sold the Lux today...handover on Monday.
Got a heck of a good price though..and at 28 years old probably time to move it on. Next vehicle, whatever it is, will have power steering and a/c and that will tempt me to wander far and wide. And any vehicle will get to my favourite campsite on the Fitzroy river.
A new chapter begins
