  • Horse Head Rock

I've been coming to Wallaga Lake for many years, but never got around to looking for this rock. So I was determined to get to it on this trip.

It's only accessible at low tide, which corresponded with the sunrise, which is what I wanted.

It's a bit of a scramble over rough rocks, esp carrying a tripod and DSLR. (the photos from which I haven't used)

The sky was a bit plain unfortunately, so I added a more interesting one in #4

I've seen photos of it at night with the Milky Way behind it. That might be my next project

Such a wonderful place Alan. Love the images - you've displayed them well with beautiful colours and textures. Good sky "implant", well chosen for the light direction as well.

      Thanks for dropping by Greg.

There are places that keep drawing you back and asking a bit more from you each time, (and giving in return) - Wallaga Lake is one of them for me.

      Cheers

Really like the first one Alan but the iphone appears to be struggling as you get closer.

Looks like a great coastline with plenty of potential.
