One of the best sunrises this morning. I just missed the early, really red bit.

Looks like a sunset to me. Are you sure it's a sunrise? I've never seen one, so I shouldn't judge. No harm in asking though.

Beautiful work Alan. If sunrises look like this, I must make the effort one day. (Before it's too late! Just a joke. Don't read anything into this.)

Great light. And the color is hard to beat.

The poodles were still asleep? (A trick question. I know if it really is early morning, they would still be asleep.)

My indecision is final, I think.

What a way to start the day.

I rarely miss a sunrise, best time of the day.

          Thanks Charles.

Yes, it's a sunrise, trust me. Think East Coast and ocean.

I'd recommend you experience it at least once

It's easier to see them in Winter as they occur at reasonably civilised times - unlike in Summer with daylight saving, when it's actually better just to stay up a bit longer at night, take in the sunrise with a nice port or scotch and them toddle off to to bed for 6 hrs sleep before breakfast at 8.

As you know Charles, Poodles are not early morning people. They took one look at me pulling on clothes in the half dark and pulled their heads back under the doona.

          Thanks Greg and Mick

          Cheers

Thanks for the advice Alan. Stay up all night drinking port and see the sunrise. Why didn't I think of that?

Actually, I may have done something like that a few (many) years ago, when I was younger. All a bit of a blur really.

I have drunk port into the early hours quite a few times, but I don't recall ever seeing a sunrise quite like that one . Well done capturing it Alan.
            Cheers, Brad.

The colours change so quickly. The orange is still wonderfully vibrant. What a glow it's given everything.
I'm at work most days before the sun rises and get home too late to get a sunset. Bring on Summer solstice.

Haven't been there, not done that.

Wonderful work Alan. I can't blame you for getting up early to get that sort of photo. It's been a long time since I did that. Better results from the East than the West.
