Cardwell Jetty

I went for a trip up to Cardwell, on the North Queensland coast. First time back there since it was devastated by Cyclone Yasi.
They have done a great job rebuilding.
Here is a pic of the Cardwell Jetty with a bit of treatment from NIK Silver Efex.

Nik can be a saint sometimes Ironwood. You've chosen a good effect here - it's got a good range of grey shades, contrast and the subject matter is well dispersed throughout the image. This is a fabulous image, I love it. It's definitely an Isac Wall Hanger winner.

I prefer the B&W's over the colour originals, as it was an overcast day and the colours were a bit lifeless.

The mountainous island on the right is Hinchinbrook Island, the smaller one on the left is Gould Island.

Fantastic series Brad
My favourite is #1 with the inclusion of the islands and the croc warning sign .... even though it may be a bit cluttered. Not sure why there is the need for "achtung" on it though.

Probably because of the many foreign tourists including German and that word seems to be more attention grabbing - just a thought, I'm waffling on again!

You've done a great job with creating interest throughout your images. Especially love how you get a great 3D effect, especially in the clouds.
I wonder if anyone will ever find that missing flywheel.

I used the Tokina 11-16mm on my Nikon D7100, I think most, if not all are taken at 11mm. I think the effect you mention may be from the wide angle perspective.

oh yes.. I have a wide angle lens.. you think I'd have figured that out by myself :-)
Love how you can stop down and still get a reasonably deep DOF.
My 200mm macro on the other hand!!!

They are all great works Ironwood. #3 for me - it has good FG-MG-BG interest, looks uncluttered and is nicely framed.
