  • Lake George

    Where we had Christmas lunch.

Lake George is so dry. But the soft colours on the lake floor were reminiscent of a water colour wash

Me again, just messed up those comments IT SHOULD READ. GREAT PANO. BUT THE BRIGHT BUSH ON THE RIGHT TENDS TO DRAG MY EYE TO IT perhaps toning it done a bit to blend into the colours of the surrounding may help. But still a great shot.. Bill

It certainly does look dry. Nothing detracts my eye as I'm too buys trying to find the water... but it's like that on the way to Cooktown, all the creeks and rivers .. bone dry but maybe this bit of rain Cairns has been having, has touched that area. Brahmin cattle graze the areas so they must be feeling the pinch.

Nice tones in the earth particularly. We visited this area and took some shots which I'm yet to process. I think I read that it has strange inexplicable water levels which don't necessarily reflect the amount of rain received in the area. It looked bone dry when we were there.

Great colours Alan and the pano works well for this type of landscape. Get it??? I said landscape not waterscape. I'm finding it extremely difficult to hide my disappointment at not seeing water in the lake as I was looking forward to a dip.
