  • A few salt lake sunsets

Had to camp up for a few days and wait for a track to dry after rain and was lucky enough to have good clouds.

    Everyday was different.

Love all three of these Mick. The reflections in #1 and #2 are beautiful and give the image a more abstract look and love the patterns and texture of #3. I also like the idea of just a narrow band of sky and concentrating on the lake bed. In #3 I do find those two dark bits in the clear yellow part a bit distracting.

Cheers Gabby. Good point about the dark bits, they may have to be ejected.

Yes,I wasn't too upset about being stuck for a while Alan. This lake is huge and I spent many long hours wandering around taking in the view. It's a flat nothingness really, but so much to see, so many different moods .

And I was lucky, you could camp here for a month and not see a cloud.

It must have been tough having to look at sunsets everyday Mick. #1&3 really speak to me, while 2 is spectacular, I like those golden tones of the other two, and the texture of the cracked mud in 3 really adds to its appeal.
          Cheers, Brad.

Thanks Ironwood. I ended up with quite a collection of images from this area and will post more later.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.
