  • Wreck in rain

Alan should recognise this - taken just out of Moruya in drizzly rain.

I think that's Alan's boat. I recognise it from Alan's posts a while back! I think he will probably come back for it after his move.

A very peaceful scene. #2 is my favorite.

#1 for me looks a bit unbalanced, with the light area in the LH third. I bet there is more detail/contrast you could bring out in the horizon area.

My indecision is final, I think.

I know it well For some reason I don't have a photo of it though. Better do that soon

There are a couple of old things I did take photos of, eg the Old Jetty from which the granite for the Sydney Harbour Bridge was loaded - however it was deemed too dangerous and demolished.

Then there was a wreck similar to yours, but in a paddock opposite - it has also been removed.

And then there were a couple of majestic and very old Moreton Bay Fig trees in the local park that were also deemed dangerous and summarily cut down - turned out they didn't have rot after all.

      I could go on...

I couldn't resist doing a quick and nasty edit. I've over-cooked it I know, but it shows there is something worth bringing out in the light area.

        Hope you don't mind.

Thanks for commenting Charles and Alan and I don't mind at all Charles - it's always interesting to see others' interpretation. Damn - all that time I spent removing those power lines and you've brought them back. Somewhere in between yours and mine perhaps - I quite like the misty negative space but maybe it's too misty against the contrast and colour I tried to bring into the boat.

Dehaze filter in ACR can be a good friend at times like this. Also added a slight vignette.

Thanks Mick. I guess this sort of scene is where the dehaze slider is meant for. Must admit I never thought of it.

Great find! what a lovely setting to backdrop this rusting wreck.
