  • Desert Queen Baths in Rudall NP

    An outrageous landscape.

A two hour drive on this side track in RNP will get you to DQB.

The track is rocky in places as you can see, mildly corrugated in others with a few sneaky little creek crossings to deal with. So it's an easy but slow track and why would you want to cover the ground quickly anyway? These are some of the oldest rock structures on Earth, time takes on a different meaning here.

A lot to like about #1 - such an interesting hill and I like the track leading to it. The rocks and stumpy vegetation enhances the scene but the sky looks a bit blown. I'd need my walking poles for #2 and #3 looks like a lovely place to stop for a dip - any crocs?

No crocs, so swimming is an option but the water is so cold that swimming isn't an option.
