    I really like this. Was the Blur done in photoshop ? Can you tell me how you did it?

      Thanks marc. It's something I've been playing with for awhile now - sometimes with birds against a blurred, watery b/g, but that is a bit more complicated.

      It is done in PS and seascapes are pretty simple. Makes interesting abstracts if taken to extremes.

      Duplicate Layer>Filter>Blur>Motion Blur. Angle = Zero. Play with distance/strength.

      You can stop there, or if you want to reveal some of the underlying layer (as I did here), reduce the opacity of the top layer slightly so you can see what you are erasing and erase the bits on the top layer you'd like to be sharp. Flatten

      If you were proficient in the use of masks that would be a better approach - but I'm a techno clutz, so I stick with the obvious solution.

      Could look good in an ice block. Have fun. (just send me a % of the profit patent pending)
