Had to clone out some footprints in the sand - people and dogs are so inconsiderate.

Lovely light and lines here Gabby, (but the lines seem to lead my eye out of frame top right, rather than to the beautiful cloud - a ship on the horizon or a bird in the sky could be useful)
Not a lot happening in the sand bottom right, so maybe Greg's suggestion of leaving some footprints might be worth exploring?
How about a square crop to lessen the space devoted to the sand?
Looks like a slow shutter speed (I can't see the exif data) as the clouds and water show movement (but the sand also seems to have that blurred effect?) I guess I'm looking for more foreground detail..
Interested to see what others think
Nice one and well spotted

Thanks Greg and Alan. There were few if any definite footprints, more a mish mash of indentations in every direction. I was practising with ND filters so yes a fairly slow exposure. I agree it would be good to have a bird to add interest - they're just not as co-operative up this way Alan. Will try a different crop.
