    I much prefer this version Greg. Still lovely and green and those red roofs still stand out but I like seeing the water on the right - it's an unusual land shape. And, lucky you that the lookout is clear from trees - most I've visited in Qld have trees blocking the view.

      Thanks Gabby. The shot was taken from the top of the 'Nut' which is the core of an extinct volcano. It's a very unusual land form and the isthmus which forms the Stanley peninsula is just short of allowing it be be a complete island. In fact at high tide the water runs under the road through a culvert and Stanley is surrounded by water.

      It's very difficult show in panorama the lay of the land in the distance, but my intention was to cover the township which I almost did.

      The original post was done for the guy overlooking the town, who is a friend from Denmark.
