It looks like a very pretty town, lovely and green and surrounded by water. I'd probably prefer this shot taken from where the guy is standing and getting more of the water from the right as well. I don't think the person in the shot adds anything but it really shows how reds stand out and attract our attention and overall the colours are very appealing. The horizon appears slanted down to the right quite a bit as well.

It amazes me how vulnerable this place looks from up there, some rough weather in the Tasman belting thorough Bass Strait could do some damage?
Agree with PP, there's something going on with that horizon..Stitched?

What if there were no Hypothetical questions?
CC always welcomed, feel free to post your ideas with an edit if you have time - Thanks.

Yes it is stitched however from left to right you go from hills forming the horizon to sea, then islands, then sea again.
There's no way you could know that without being there so I'll just have to wear that.

Thought it maybe something like that.
Not sure, but if CS3 has 'Free Transform' you can right click 'Distort' ? then pull the L/hand corner down with that maybe? The curve of the beach seems to be exaggerating it as well...just a thought?

          Cheers.
