As good as it gets

We get very few electrical storms around here so when I heard thunder yesterday went looking for a storm. Unfortunately not much at all. These were taken about 20 mins west of town and of course the rain, as usual, bypassed Gladstone. I often wonder how much the local industry affects our rainfall. The hardest thing around here is finding somewhere fairly open to take the shot.

Tried a pano - thought it hadn't stitched properly but on checking the individual shots there is a partial fence post hanging near a complete one.

Quite like the cloud formations and there's good definition in the first. Distortion is quite evident in the tree line with those on the left leaning right and the right leaning left.
Would be a good sky to save and put in another image! (Would we do a thing like that)??

Never. Good foregrounds in this area are few and far between unfortunately. Did try to straighten the trees but couldn't get them exactly right.

I agree, I'd be keeping a copy in the 'Cloud' stock folder as well...good patterns and light like that always come in handy later.
Those clouds at sunset out on Awoonga would look great if it ever happens?
