Very nice, the textures of the tree, warm colours and early morning light in the tree all combine well.
I'd like to crop some of the bottom but the ya lose so much interest from the roots, will be interesting to see what others write?

It was the gnarled roots that originally attracted me.

Beautiful pastel colours Gabby. The only thing I'd be inclined to to would be to remove that smaller trunk disappearing off the side on the left or perhaps crop a little more from that side so it doesn't protrude above the horizon. The milk in the water I can live with.. well done!

I agree about the limb and thought someone would mention it. As for the blurred water - I have to do a talk about ND filters at our camera club so actually have this shot natural, with a 4 stop ND and then a 9 stop ND to show the differences.

I like the room on the right Bill but probably could clone out that rock which I agree doesn't really add anything.

I appreciate what others are saying about crops, but cropping the right or left will affect the ratio, so I'd be inclined to leave a lovely photo alone.

Beautiful light and texture as mentioned

    Cheers

Thanks Alan - I think I'm finally getting to the stage I see the light and a compliment from someone like you is always appreciated.

      Very nice photo Gabby

Problem for me is the water ..... with the darker water in the foreground it looks like it is 'dropping down' from the lighter water once it reaches the rocks .... (maybe it's just me )

Thanks Barb, I see what you mean, it was very shallow near the shore and muddy bottom plus in shadow makes it darker.
