Sorry but the foreground spoils this shot for me. Love the river and trees, reflections, perhaps moving closer to the waters edge and looking up the river may have been better, turning the shot into a pano would I feel help Bill

See crop. Thanks for the heads up.

I agree about the foreground, for me there is just too much of it. I do like the diagonal line it provides and the colours and textures of the rocks are nice but a bit less of it would work better for me.

I agree with other CC I think the angle is wrong to get the effect you may have been looking for.
as the eye is drawn to the bridge, where I feel the shot is more about the pebbles and reflection. but this is just my opinion
        cheers

I like the use of diagonal forground to lead into the image.
The dark trees on either side help bring the viewer back into the image
I also like the textured and interesting pebbles in the foreground. I don't see rocks like that here.
I also like the many layers in this image of hills and trees into the cloudy sky.
I do like the crop as it balances the image better and removes some of the less attractive sand.

I think the crop improves it, but for me, I find the light a little flat.

Maybe some different processing could change that. Or that may have been the effect you were after, in which case I'll pull my head in

And I'd make the bridge level - it just looks odd to me.

Peaceful scene though and nice reflections.

            Cheers
            Alan

The second post is much better for me. My eyes now go to the river and bridge rather than being stuck on the sand.
