  • Canola with a ?

    This is a good distance away from the other ones I have here and really want your opinion on it please. The clouds changed to this colour during my PP in LR I was playing around with the WB setting I hit cloudy I ran Iris in hence and this is the colour I got I am not sure why this happened I liked it so left it question is just using the basic setting if you know does that only bring out the colours that are there or change the colour even if the colour is not visible as such the clouds were varying in colours a tinge of colour was visible and I have been finding the clouds have been somewhat amazing this time of the year around these parts and more so this year I had my camera set on Auto WB shoot at

    Nikon D5100

    using my 35 mm

    1/250

    ISO 100

    f/8.0

    Also In your opinion does it work I always keep my RAW files so re-edit is always possible thank you

    I like the idea, you can always pretend it's a sunset over the fields. The composition is good too and that narrow panorama effect you said you don't like is fine on this.

        I like this very much Sandy although the clouds are bugging me a bit, perhaps a little softer and desaturate a bit. The pano works for me, puts the image into a better perspective for viewing - a bit like being there overlooking the fields. I had a play and dropped in another sky using a mask and I think it works better by making the canola field the centre of attraction.

        My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

          I really like the field in this and the composition draws me into the image. Not a fan of the colours in the sky though. I also don't think the oranges in the clouds and the yellows of the canola compliment each other.
