  • Beach Puddle

Very occasionally, the tides and sand combine to create a bit of a puddle on the beach. This provides some reflective photo opportunities.

You may have seen some earlier ones that the poodles thought had been improved by their presence - so I'm sneaking these in after they have gone to bed.

    G'day Alan

3 good images here mate - tho I like the latter 2 as cropped as well
With #1 ... how would you feel about also cropping - either to have the horizon on the top 1/3 -or- the lower 1/3 > each gives a different view of the image

Beautiful work Alan. Good to have you back.

#2, featuring the poodle at the edge of the shore is the winner for me. I think #3 would be improved with the addition of a poodle, but never mind. I find #3 most relaxing and contemplative in its mood.

My indecision is final, I think.

Great reflections and use of the 'puddles' as leading lines. I always feel guilty when I go to the beach without our dogs as they love it so much. But, they seem to have realised that when we pick up those particular black bags and load them into the car they won't be going anywhere.

              Thanks very much everyone

(Charles that's not a poodle in #2, just another dog that decided to join us for the walk)

I love those beach puddles as photographic subjects. You just get a double dose of the beautiful sky.
I also like the silveryness (is there such a word?)

Haven't been there, not done that.
