Another keeper. The different layers work well...tree line, river bank, dark water and the near bank with the different textures.

I like this, lots of interest in the shot, particularly the roots and the nice autumn colours on the far bank. I know you don't like silky water but think this spot would be interesting to try it out on.

Thanks both of you. Plenty of options at this site but a slower shutter wasn't one of them. Taken around midday it was far too bright and I don't carry ND filters around with me. I'll come back here later in the evening sometime as it's not far from home. (and probably bring the flyrod!)
