Oh I meant to ask about the solar panels, how did they go amongst the trees?

They seemed to do the job (120 watts). I moved them several times as the shadows moved. I needed them to charge the van battery which then powers the 30 watt inverter which I use to power/charge the Mac laptop. I found that the last time I camped without power, the inverter/lappy power supply sucked the van battery too low fairly quickly and the tiny solar panel on the roof of the van couldn't cope.

Alan, I do like the curves and radiating spiral effect in one. The golden side light is very nice.
Clever little phone in two.. it has done an amazing job of coping with the tones. Really like the stars vs torch light.

Thanks Jo - I don't know why I resisted getting an iPhone for so long - but #2 was taken with my D7000 - I wouldn't ask the phone to attempt something like that
Thanks Phil, sorry to hear about the rain - I awoke to it as well, but I didn't have very far to get back home.
Plans have changed a bit, I now have to head out towards Swan Hill on Monday, so I'm hoping the weather has improved by then,
Cheers
