Ditto Alan's comments. Like the way you've lit the sky and just part of the clouds.

Mick, this is an absolutely glorious shot. It's not just dramatic - it's almost terrifying.

Now I know if Alan reads this, he'll say: "Charles will find some niggling fault in the sky! " So unfair. Nothing could be further from the truth. Just not so.

Well, ......OK. The sky. I lied. When I saw this, I thought you could maybe bring out a bit more contrast/textures that is there in the sky.

Please forgive my lame attempt at edit, but this is just to maybe show a direction it could go. The small jpg edit does not do justice to your work.

PS I've also brought out a dust bunny in the light area just above the horizon on the RHS. No need to thank me.

Thank you Charles for the kind words. Yes, I need to work on the sky, wasn't completely happy with it at the time and you've shown me the light so to speak. Felt there needed to be more light in the sky to balance the light on the road.

I'll rework this from scratch and repost later, it'll take me a little while. First thing I have to do is remember what I did in the first place. Might have to start keeping tiff files again instead of being so slack. The only thing thing worse than being lazy and disorganized is to be caught being lazy and disorganized.

I fixed the dust bunny that was under that one and the other two on the left *sigh*. Might have to run the 7D under the tap and give it a good scrub with a wire brush.

Thanks for the edit, shows me the direction I need to take this.

Ok, this is better I think.

Hmmm, definitely looks better when viewed large, it has some real punch to it when viewed full size on my 24" monitor. Still terrifying I hope, the wet season storms can be dramatic in an extreme kind of way if you get lucky.

Oh yes. That's awesome Mick. Great edit. The sky is absolutely Biblical. Just the direction I had in mind.

Not saying I'm right mind you. This sort of stuff is so subjective.

Thanks for the feedback Charles, appreciated. (great minds think alike or fools seldom differ, take your pick)

When I used to drive trucks out of Darwin I used to regularly head off into a crazy sunset that made me wonder if I'd live through the experience lol.
