      # 1 for me too without the boat and aerials. Could even crop out most of it as the lower section to just above the radar antenna is not doing much to help the image.

        Cheers

Now you have gone to all that trouble, I'm going to say I prefer the original photo Yes, it would be nice for the boat not to be there, but it does loose itself in the vegetation fairly well. Maybe if the aerials were just vanished. You have done a good job editing the photo, but now it is just a more standard composition. What attracts me to the original is the complete framing of vegetation around the entire photo.

The whole set have a lovely mood to them and I've enjoyed looking at them.

Thank you Phil (and Barb and Greg)

Go for it - I do it to others

That's what we are here for, I hope.

I find it interesting to be made aware of the potential others see in member's photos

Sometimes we can get too close to our creations and maybe we need to sit on them for awhile and think a bit more about composition, processing etc, and what we are trying to say, before rushing into putting them 'out there'

                    Cheers

You dawn shots always look so peaceful and serene Alan. They make me feel relaxed. They also make me want to be there, which is what it is all about really, you have achieved the ultimate by doing that.

These are beautiful. I too like the framing in #1 and think your second edit needs either more foliage or none at the bottom. Leaving more would mean cloning rather than cropping out the boat though.
