  • Crimson Grass

Stitched 6 files together. That's not the natural colour of the grasses. I combined a sunset picture with the bottom half of the frame to give a crimson colour to the grasses. What do you think?

I like it, the orange glow looks quite convincing. Maybe the tussock of orange grass at bottom of frame around 1/3rd of the way in from the left could use dulling down a bit though? It jumps out a bit more than the rest of the scene to me...

Looks good and golden (rather than crimson ) - my only nit would be the structure top left.

      Cheers

nicely done IMHO. Overall I like the effect. I can achieve the same result in Nik Colorefex with a foliage filter, or one called
        Indian summer.

Wasn't sure what I would call it, so crimson it was. That structure you pointed out is the Urunga Boardwalk, which is readily recognisable to the locals. I have purposely included it as it is quite unique to the area.

Thanks Tim. I was trying to give the sky a bit more colour by merging a sunset shot. In the end it was going to be a difficult merge for convincing result. I moved the sunset shot down to the lower frame and got this nice orangy glow, which I thought was quite good and convincing enough to get away with it. I might still try to replace the sky with a better one. Need hours to work on it, I think.
