I don't understand people being offended but there are lots of things i don't understand, so nothing unusual
It's not the mere fact of the consumption of dog meat, it's the sickening and GROSSLY inhumane way these animals are raised, their living conditions, subjected to daily cruelty their whole sad lives and the sadistic way they are killed to ensure tender meat for the dog eating consumer.

I'm not going to post any links, but a simple Google search and an hours reading (just search Google images if you don't feel like reading about it) will educate anyone enough to be sickened by this trade..........and DON'T think it doesn't happen in Australia either.

I don't disagree Jim, but this is not restricted to only dogs. I'm sure you could find similar examples of terrible treatment of most animals. The issue does seem to be that it is a dog, because the chickens/ducks that are hanging up haven't been mentioned yet. I'm sure they didn't live in a lovely coop/lake surrounded by rolling meadows, they probably spent their whole life in a 1 foot square cage with 2 other birds. Animals are treated poorly in many, if not all, countries but it only seems to be the animals with big brown eyes that people seem to care about.
