    WOW!!...All those people. I hate crouds. What an amzing sight to see. Pity about the fog but at the same time you really came home with some really nice shots and lots of memories.

      It was actually Smog. Every city was like this, just this point we were up in the mountains, so we were closer too it.
      The worst part about the crouds, was that it was hot, so when we had to squeeze through the throng, it was sticky and smelly.
      I was OK for fresh air as I am 6 feet tall. my wife, however, was not so lucky.

        great pics always hard to move during summer months visiting the great wall in winter less people and you can get great landscape shots only down side is the cold winters there

          Yes, I was quite surprised when I saw pics on the net of Badaling covered in Snow.
          That would be pretty but a bit unpleasant!

            Holy crap! Peak hour rush on the great wall. Origionally I was expecting a picture of a small truck. Great set of images. Certainly tell a story.

                I would have like them if you photoshopped the people out.......
                Gasp thats crowded. i hate crowds. man that would have been un nerving.

                    Thought I would come back and have another look at this tread. Heading off to China in April for a 25 night tour ..... looking at this has me excited all over again

                      I remember you asking about the trip last year. 25 nights, that will be amazing. ours was only 8 nights, so you are bound to see some amazing sites.
                      I look forward to seeing your pics. Might entice me to go again!!
