  • Knock knock....

I've tried a little 'work' with this image, and I'm not too sure whether I like the colour or the B/W rendition.

What do you think? And please, all criticism will be greatly appreciated, no matter how harsh.

    Anyone home?

    ...or the B/W version..

( a few spaces, to seperate the 2..)

    What's in here?

I like them both - I can see why you are unsure.

If pressed, I'd go for colour .. no B&W .. maybe?

.... you decide.... nice processing either way

I might be inclined to increase the contrast in the B&W to feature the bricks a bit more, but that would be at the expense of losing the focus on the door - oh, too many choices late at night

"freedom from choice is what I want"

    Cheers

Same here, hard call Rob, I like both. Doors are something that you either like, or don't. I'm in the former, so is my wife. She shot nearly every door in Italy and now has them in one of those multiple shot frames on the wall, they do make an interesting piece.

Thanks Alan. I processed the colour image first, and during that process thought that a B&W version might be OK too. When both were 'completed', I couldn't decide which I prefered. So I posted both!

Thanks Shadds. As presented, I tend to agree. But I think there is a reasonable B&W in there somewhere. It's just a matter of digging a little longer...

The missus and I drove past this place, and the door caught my eye. When I made a U-turn to go back, I received a very 'vague' look when I mentioned 'a door'. I too find them interesting. I guess there is a story behind every door.

B&W one doesn't POP. If you could do that , then I reckong B&W would work better.
But as presented, the colour one is best.
