  • Some street shots from Korea

    Markets are interesting places.

    1. Buying shoes in the market. The shoe stalls seem to go on forever.

I do like this sort of photography Have memories of Portobello road in London in the sixties. It will be a historic record in the future showing how it used to be. Clothing products and other fashions will all be different.

Thanks Hans. The basic retail economy there still seems to be built on individual market stalls rather than supermarkets. Plenty of shopping centres with up-market stores selling expensive name-brands though.

I noticed some big fish markets but also some large stall owners wit fish starting at a couple of mm and then the next lot 10% bigger. Boxes and boxes of ever larger fish the biggest was no bigger than about 10 inches. We did go into a supermarket I will have a look to see if I took any pictures.

An eye opener for sure of how things are done in other countries. Treasured photos to look back on.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Over production comes to mind, How many watches can a person fit on their arm. Also the book store The ones on the bottom row have no chance of being sold, for reading anyway. Really interesting shots though. Reminds me of our Craft fairs, very clever little wooly things made, but who wants them......

The watches and books are used. There seem to be plenty of places selling second-hand goods. There are specific areas selling the same type of goods - even for shop and restaurant equipment both used and new.

I've no idea how the bookstore works - perhaps the bottom items cycle to the top over time. or those no one wants move gradually to the bottom.
