  • Brisbane Valley Rail Trail

I spent three days this week walking part of the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail with a local (to me) walking group. Camped at Esk and walked 46km in three day hikes using car shuttles to the start and end points . Mornings were a bit cool - down to -0.8 according to the weather bureau.

Here are a few of the many photos from the walk.

Wonderful to see these shots Alan. Great Australian colours and the closeups of the railroad nails/spikes are superb! Your outing would have been a photographers paradise.

My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Thanks Isac. Not quite a paradise as you are limited to the track, and being part of a group, you can't lag too far behind, but still plenty of opportunities.

    Hi Alan

I'm envious - a damn fine walk you've done and the images show us some of the fun you've enjoyed

Yes, well seen and photo'd. Hand and Knees job by the looks.....

-0.8c must have been a shock to the system. My first visit to Brisbane in June 1970 had a frost also...........

Thanks Mark. It had been rather warmer for the few days before we started so it was a bit of a shock, but the weather was otherwise very good.
Working...
