  • Canberra's Carillon

    G'day all

One of Canberra's most well known icons, the Carillon (for some reason pronounced Carill-i-on) in the edge of Lake Burley Griffin

    As always, feedback welcome

Nicely composed Phil. I would be inclined to give the subject a bit of a boost as it looks like it might have been shaded by a cloud.

Lovely scene Phil, I believe Canverra is a wonderful place for photography. I'm puzzled as to why people add the "i" in Carillon. We have Carillon Arcade here the city and it's always mispronounced by adding the extra "i".
I agree 100% with Alan about brightening up the building as it is a main focal point in the image.

I have a nice image from a similar viewpoint I took +-20 years ago. It may be on a floppy disk somewhere. I remember the light being spot on. What took you so long?
